EA Sports advertise it as “The next generation of First Person Shooter Games”. Its official name is Battlefield 2042 Portal. Yes, as the name suggests we can see through the trailer that fights are going to take place in the past, present, and future. I’m still not clear whether all these fights will be of the same storyline or separate storylines, but I think it will be worth waiting for.
Gameplay & Plot
The developers are claiming that this part of Battlefield will change the First Person Shooting genre completely and knowing EA GAmes I can expect the same from them.
Through their official site, they told that in Battlefield 2042 Portal gameplay is not fixed. You can change the path of the war and decide how it will play out. They say that you can take experiences from sandboxes of all the parts of the Battlefield including the earliest parts like Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield Bad Company. You can do all this through the help of the custom mode and builder tools provided to you.
But still, the exact procedure is not clear. You can also share your experience or the path you have built in the Battlefield community for others to experience the same thrill. You can also do vice versa and pick up other player’s mods and show them how it’s done. This is going to be a unique experience, literally.
We all remember some of our favourite maps and terrains from any part of the Battlefield which we especially liked to play, you can say we were the boss of that terrain. Now, they(EA Sports) have claimed to bring back our favourite maps with enhanced high-definition and environment. The most famous maps like El Alamein, Battle of the Bulge, Caspian Border, etc. all are imported from different parts of Battlefield. They are doing this on the demand of Battlefield fans.
This part has a very vast range of weapons in the arsenal, vehicles, and accessories(gears). Although this was expected as the fights are not confined to a single era thus we will get gear, vehicles, and weapons according to the time, map and terrain we are playing. This automatically increases the sheer number of types of guns and everything.
I can’t wait for Battlefield 2042 to be public. This part has increased my hopes to another level, let’s see if it can meet up with them or not.
